Chardham

The newly developed Pilgrimage-cum-Cultural Centre is constructed on top of the Solophok Hill in South-Sikkim. This stunning 26½ m high statue of Lord Shiva in sitting posture immitating chardham amidst the serene nature of Sikkim, has become one of the top tourist destinations in Sikkim, especially among the devotees of Lord Shiva.

Samdruptse Monastery

At a mere distance of 5 km away from Namchi lies Samdruptse Hill – the ‘wish fulfilling hill’. The unparallel view is ornamented with a giant statue of the Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche); the patron saint of Sikkim who has been showering its blessings since more than 1,200 years. 

Tendong Hill

Tendong Hills is a gateway to heaven with captivating sight of unshaven hills. Tourists can partake in adventure activities like rafting and trekking alongside the panoramic view of wild animals.

Tarey Bhir Sadam

Tarey Bhir Sadam is a mesmerising place in Sadam area .It is situated in south of sikkim near Namchi. It is a cliff and the whole view down the valley is breathtaking. We went down the stairs.But coming upwards was a hilarious experience. Must visit place in Namchi.

Namchi Ropeway

NAMCHI is a tourist town in the beautiful state of Sikkim and is the capital of the district of South Sikkim. The 2.74 Km long cable car project has two sections, first section from PWD Rest House to Rock Garden and second section from Rock Garden to near Samdruptse Monastery. This Ropeway was built on a difficult terrain towards the dual aim of providing eco-friendly and energy efficient system of transportation and development of tourism.

Baichung Stadium

Bhaichung Stadium is a football stadium in Namchi, the district headquarters of South Sikkim district in the state of Sikkim, India. The stadium was built in honour of Bhaichung Bhutia, India’s most well known contemporary footballer.

Sai Mandir

The Saibaba temple is located a few Kms from District headquarters at Assanthang .It is a two storied building displaying modern architecture. The ground floor is prayer hall for devotees to sing bhjan in praise of Saibaba and in the first floor is marble statue of Saibaba and ten other beautiful paintings of Lord Vishnu’s ten different incarnations. The temple is surrounded by beautifully landscaped garden

HELIPAD VIEW POINT

Just 10 minutes’ stroll from Upper Pelling’s Zero Point junction, the helipad is about the best viewpoint around, with almost 360-degree views.

The ‘No Trespassing’ signs are widely ignored except during emergencies or state visits, which is the only time that helicopters actually land here. During the walk up you’ll have more views, notably the silhouette of Namchi’s Char Dham on a far southern ridge top.

nAGADAK MONASTERY

Ngadak Monastery exudes with charm and spirituality. This monastery located at a short distance from the main town of Namchi was built during the reign of Chogyal Gyurmed Namgyal by Tensung Namgyal as the palace for Her Highness Pendi Ongmu. Today, you can notice the monastery is supported by iron railings, and a new Gumpa is also being constructed as the old structure suffered damage due to the earthquake in the 17th century. Ngadak is one of the oldest monasteries in Namchi and it is anapt place to seek peace and meditate amidst nature. It is said that, whoever visits here has to make a promise to return again to the Gumpa. In fact the name, Ngadak itself means promise.

BUDDHA PARK RAVALANGA

The Buddha Park of Ravangla, also known as Tathagata Tsal, is situated near Ravangla in South Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim.
